Well I am done testing KIS 2010. It a great product but it has all the problems the very build of KIS has. System slow downs and browser slow downs. I did not notice them at first but it seems to have worsened. Pages not loading. PC locking up. This was on both my machines. Very good product over all but still very buggy. Forums are filled with complaints also. Back to my old set up. Cheers.

Well here is something interesting. Before KIS is was using Avira. Before that I tried CIS. Before that I had Avira. Before that I had NIS 2009. Before that I had Avira. Well you get the picture. I have tried various set ups for test reasons. I do weekly scans with SAS and MBAM just to be on the safe side since no av is perfect. Usually on Mondays I update MBAM and run a scan. Then on Wednesdays I update and run a scan with SAS which is today. Since I recently uninstalled KIS I wanted to run a full scan with SAS just to be safe. When ever I run scans with SAS and MBAM they always come up clean and have been for years. My last and only serious infection was well over 6 years ago. Anyways take a look at what SAS found and KIS missed. And no I am not bashing KIS. Its just a fact. I would still be using KIS if it didnt slow my pc and internet down so much.

I also used KSI 2010 for 10 days and went back to GDATA. It also slowed down my computer and I am OCed on watercooling. Hell, A2 was tons faster and it used tons of memory. So far to date I have tired tons of programs and KIS was the only one that has actually made my music stop while it was updating. They have tons of work to do on the CPU usage.

The odd thing is that they just made KIS 2010 9.0.0.463 the official new version. There forums are filled with hourly issues of slow downs and YouTube not loading. All they say is "post a GSI report". I have tried KIS throughout the years and every version is the same thing. System slow downs and browser slow downs. Security should not be this difficult. Most users would not notice the slow downs. But for me if a web page takes more then 3 seconds to open I hate it. If Winamp takes awhile to open I do not like that either. Also some of my games studded. Overall its a great product. Set it and forget it. I give KIS a 7/10.
